On Thursday 12 October, nine Greens-EFA MEPs (Caroline Roose, Tilly Metz, Ska Keller, Anna Deparnay-Grunenberg, Pär Holmgren, Francisco Guerreiro, Thomas Waitz, Manuela Ripa & David Cormand) organise an event entitled #Greens4animals. It will bring together local and European elected representatives, green and animalist activists to debate the issues surrounding farm animal welfare legislation and to discuss on actions for all animals implemented from local to global level.
There will be plenty of news, as the European Commission has pledged to publish a proposal for the reform of European rules on the protection of farm animals in the autumn.
